Yet while a remote tented camp may evoke the classic ambience of old, it doesn’t mean you sacrifice modern-day comforts. Leleshwa Mobile Camp is a most refined way to experience the African wilderness. It is set up in the heart of the Maasai Mara Reserve during the migration season, giving guests a front-row seat on all of the action.

Seamlessly Tailored to the Environment

The Leleshwa Mobile Camp is a proper mobile camp seamlessly tailored to blend into it’s environment. The camp is fully self-contained and transported by lorry to selected private campsites within the reserve for the use of the clients that have booked it. When the camp is not in use, it gets packed down and returned to Leleshwa Camp for storage.

A crew of highly experienced safari staff set up each camp in anticipation of your arrival. Your private tented camp is your home away from home, acting as your base while you explore key wildlife areas. When you move onto your next destination, your camp is broken down leaving no trace of your presence in this pristine wilderness.

Bush Elegance At Its Best

Inside our custom built deluxe tents you’ll find bush elegance at its best. From our comfortable full-length single or king-sized beds with crisp cotton linens and a wide array of soft furnishings through to the en-suite bathrooms that are connected to the tent, our attention to detail cannot be surpassed.

Providing the upmost comfort and privacy is key to everything we do. Our bathrooms contain proper flushing toilets and piping hot showers are available at any time of the day or night, delivered to your tent by the tent stewards. Shaded beneath a canvas awning our guests can relax on director’s chairs on front verandah. Kerosene lanterns lend an atmospheric glow at night.

Dine Out In Africa

If you want a safari straight 'Out of Africa,' you'll find it at Leleshwa Mobile Camp. Evenings in camp are magical, with dinner served on a white tablecloth under the stars, and nightcaps around a roaring fire. For those travellers who desire more opulence in a mobile camp setting, we also offer a mobile camp option with larger tents and more features.

The nearby dining tent serves as the hub of social activity in camp. It is the place where meals are taken, where stories are shared over iced cocktails and friendships are forged. Our chefs create an imaginative assortment of culinary delights on a bed of embers under the open sky. Bread is baked daily in bush ovens while fresh fruits and vegetables are supplied from Leleshwa Camp for the duration of your safari.

It All About You

Your Leleshwa Camp Safari Guide is your host whilst you are in camp. He will be assisted by a fully trained safari crew who will look after your every need. Each tent has its own steward in attendance and laundry is done daily. The safari crew also includes a fantastic safari chef, waiters and spotters to help find the most elusive wildlife.
